The Bibiani Circuit Court presided over by Mr Kwaku Aboagye has sentenced a 39-year-old farmer, Kwabena Entiedu to five years imprisonment for indecent assault.
He pleaded guilty to the charge.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector Lucky Goglomi told the court that the six-year-old girl and the mother together with the accused lived at Gyereso near Bibiani.
He said on April 20, the mother sent victim to buy her mosquito coil and Entiedu invited her to his room and inserted his finger into her genital organ.
Mr Goglomi said the little girl reported her ordeal to her mother the following day when she was giving her her bath.
A report was made to the police and the convict was arrested.
