The family of the late legendary Highlife musician Kwadwo Akwaboah, popularly known as Akwaboah Snr. has held a memorial in his honour.
The event was held at Trede, off the Obuasi road on Tuesday, May 30.
Akwaboah Jnr, a chip off the old block, shared pictures and videos from the event on his social media handles with the caption “Akwaboah Lives On’.

Friends and sympathisers were seen trooping to the Trede Funeral Grounds to mourn with Kwadwo Akwaboah’s his family.
Musician Akwaboah Jnr announced the passing of his father, the legendary musician known for songs such as ‘Awerekyekyere’ and ‘Hini Me’, passed away on May 17.
According to Joy Entertainment sources, he passed away at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi in the early hours of Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
In a Facebook post, Akwaboah Jnr. shared a photo of his father with the caption: “RIP DADDY.”
