Mercedes secured their second 1-2 of the weekend in the final free practice session ahead of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Valtteri Bottas pipping Lewis Hamilton – but with Racing Point driver Sergio Perez an impressive 0.161s off the Finn in P3.
Ferrari appeared to have improved overnight, with Charles Leclerc giving the team a pre-qualifying confidence boost by going P4 in the dry session – while George Russell had a starring turn for Williams, as he finished an excellent 14th, ahead of both Haases and both Alfa Romeos.
It was a less happy session for Red Bull, though, who continued to struggle with their tail-happy RB16, Max Verstappen spinning early in FP3 before going sixth fastest, while Alex Albon ended up P12.
