The Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Freddie Quainoo told journalists the ‘Freedom Offer’ is in the spirit of the freedom that comes with Independence. “This is the first time such a thing has happened in the history of Ghana and in the history of the telecom industry in this country,” he said. He said Expresso believes in freedom and wants its customers to have the freedom to communicate on this special day throughout Ghana. “Free night calls on the expresso network starts from 11pm, so from 11pm today 5th March 2012 through the whole day tomorrow Tuesday 6th March 2011 until 5am on Wednesday 7th March 2012 every active 028 number has the freedom to make free unlimited on–network calls,” Mr. Quainoo said. Expresso also announced the Freedom Offer for new customers on their network. Head of Territory Management and Distribution, Majeed Iddrisu said during this month of ‘freedom’, all new prepaid voice subscribers will get three months free on–network calls in addition to free SMSs and other attractive bonuses. “Every new customer that purchases any of our phones between now and June gets to enjoy three months free calls to all 028 numbers – this is like giving away 40% of our revenue to customers and we even want to do more in the coming months for our valued customers,” he said. Freddie Quainoo also mentioned that Expresso’s “Dash” promotion has been repackaged to give customers more value for their money, adding that existing Expresso customers have already started receiving much more “Dash” than they were expecting this month. He also stated that the CLIQ modem is back on the market with even more affordable packages and reductions in the prices of some of the existing packages. Mr. Quainoo therefore entreated Ghanaian’s to join the Expresso network for more value for money, and also visit any Expresso shop or dealer for the much awaited CLIQ modem.
