Exchequers of Bank of Ghana are on the verge of qualifying for the semi finals of the ongoing Africa hockey club championship in Zambia after beating Hippo club of Zimbabwe 3-0 on Tuesday.
Exchequers which boast Ghana’s best performance at the club championship after finishing as silver medalist over a decade ago have a realistic chance of going one better this term.
The team manager of the team, Kester Adjaho is optimistic of qualifying for the semi finals.
“We are in contention for the title and I strongly believe nothing can hold us back”. He told Joy Sports.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s other representative Trustees of SSNIT will play their last group game on Wednesday with Niger flicks of Nigeria after drawing 1-1 with another Nigerian side UB.
Trustees are out of the running for a place in the medal zone at the ongoing championship.
