Naa Shika Adu playing tennis at Ace Tennis Academy
Former Women's Tennis Association (WTA) player Naa Shika Adu is the founder of Ace Tennis Academy.
She started the academy in 2017 and has never looked back since.
The academy focuses on training kids professionally and helping adults stay fit or lose weight.
Currently, the academy trains 15 permanent children and 10 adults at the Dean's Guest House, Korle Bu.
Despite the outbreak of Covid-19, members of academy have resumed training in strict conditions as they train in smaller groups with social distancing being observed.
Annually, the Ace Tennis Academy organizes free tennis clinics for orphanages and selected schools in Accra.
Naa also works with the Ghana Tennis Federation as a board member of the Gender Equity and Equality Committee.
