NDC's Director of Elections and IT, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has warned that all individuals engaged in "criminal activities" of re-collation of parliamentary results will face the full rigour of the law after January 7.

His comments reflect the party’s resolve to ensure accountability following controversies surrounding the recent electoral process.

Speaking on the Electoral Commission's (EC) integrity in a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 17, Dr Omane Boamah criticised its handling of certain procedures.

He recalled an instance where his demand for unused pink sheets to be crossed and cancelled was refused, leading to suspicions about the floating of loose pink sheets, which he believes are being exploited for illegal re-collation and re-declaration of results.

He further cited the EC's inconsistencies, including its use of pen markers as indelible ink in some polling stations despite earlier assurances to the contrary.

Dr Boamah maintained that despite these challenges, the NDC has successfully navigated what he described as the electoral process's “sharks and snakes.”

He asserted that the will of Ghanaians was made clear on December 7, when the NDC secured overwhelming support from voters.

The NDC elections chief reiterated the party’s stance to pursue justice and ensure that those complicit in any illegal activities surrounding the election process are held accountable.

He stressed that the sanctity of Ghana’s democracy must be upheld and warned against actions that undermine the will of the people.

"Every criminal actor in this process will face the full rigour of the law after January 7."

"This is an Electoral Commission that refused to cross and cancel unused pink sheets when I demanded. Are you surprised loose pink sheets are floating around to aid the illegal re-collation and re-declaration as the NPP is demanding?"
