England started the competition unconvincingly but goals from Sterling and Harry Kane against Germany got the fans believing once again.
On Saturday, they will have to get past a determined Ukraine side at the Stadio Olimpico to reach the semifinal stage. Ukraine earned their spot in the last eight with a hard-fought win over Sweden.
With the final scheduled to be played at Wembley, England will be under immense pressure to get past the Blue and Yellow.
England to reach last four
Gareth Southgate’s men silenced the critics in the round of 16 with an excellent showing against Germany and are expected to reach the last four.
Harry Kane finally came into his own against Joachim Low’s men, scoring a goal in a 2-0 victory. Raheem Sterling, despite the constant criticism by the fans, has proved to be immense for his country.
Although Ukraine have Yarmolenko and Zinchenko in their books, a win against the Three Lions will be a big ask.
The odds
England are huge favorites to win the game. Their odds have been priced at 1.42 whilst Ukraine are pinned at 7.88. A draw has been priced at 4.36.
