Leading football clubs from France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Croatia, and Norway are poised to partner with the Kenpong Football Academy, following a successful European tour by the Academy's CEO, Mr. Kennedy Agyepong (Kenpong).
During the tour, Mr. Agyepong engaged in detailed negotiations with various clubs and stakeholders, focusing on player development and enhancing the Academy's facilities in Winneba.
He revealed that agreements have been finalised with three top European clubs, which will be visiting Ghana in the upcoming weeks.
One significant partnership is with French club Bastia, which has committed to providing materials for constructing a modern astro turf pitch to complement the Academy's existing grass pitch.
Additionally, Bastia will offer substantial financial support for the project. In return, Kenpong Academy will facilitate the transfer of promising talents to Bastia and other European clubs.
The partnership with Bastia will soon become visible through promotional materials and marketing insignia displayed at Kenpong Academy.
Bastia-branded football pitches and playing kits will highlight this unique collaboration as the French club aims to bolster the Academy's development.

As part of their commitment, Bastia will assign a top-class coach to lead Kenpong Academy's coaching department, enhancing the technical expertise available to the Academy.
"It has been a fruitful tour, very engaging and hectic, but worthwhile," Kenpong stated.
"I met with the clubs’ CEOs, and they are eager to partner with us. They were impressed by the energy and determination of Kenpong and the fact that he had single-handedly developed a project like the Academy in Winneba."
He added, "They are ready to travel far with us, and that motivates me to go the extra mile. I received preferential treatment, including VIP seating at the Strasbourg Stadium, and I was humbled by their respect. I am truly grateful for their warm gesture."
Kenpong expressed his profound gratitude to S.C. Bastia President, Claude Ferrandi, and Technical Director, Eric Descombes, for their exceptional hospitality, which included opening the club’s offices to him and treating him as one of their own.
"I am really grateful for the professional manner they handled my visit. It warmed my heart greatly," he said.
Last year, Kenpong, along with former Black Stars Coach and Captain Kwesi Appiah, toured clubs in Spain and France.
In late 2023, top officials from Spanish giants Barcelona visited the Winneba-based academy and paid a courtesy call to the Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Yussif.
