Ghana international Ernest Nuamah suffered an injury in Olympique Lyon's defeat to AS Monaco on Saturday evening.
The winger was substituted 17 minutes into the fixture after injuring his thigh.
Nuamah was named in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game having also been handed a starting berth in the defeat to Rennes on the opening weekend.
Lyon went on to lose lose the game against Monaco with a 2-0 score.
Nuamah's injury could come as a worry for the Black Stars with just two weeks away from the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.
Ghana host Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5 before taking a trip to Niger for the second group game.
