“Partings come and hearts are broken, love ones go with unspoken words." A good name is better than precious ointment.

Eric Kwaku Kyeremateng Jonason whose mortal remains lie before us was born at Agogo in the Ashanti Region to John Attah of Adwieso-Asawaase and Joana Akosua Bredu a nurse from Boso in the Eastern Region on June 13, 1973. Eric who inherited the place of her mother first child after the death of his Senior brother was a source of joy and consolation to the entire family.

Marital and Christian life

Eric was baptised and had his confirmation into the Presbyterian faith at Boso Presbyterian church, later he joined Faith Congregation, Presbyterian church Russia. Due to his hard work, dedication to the work and love for God he became a presbyter at Faith Congregation.

Mr Eric Kwaku Kyeremateng Jonason left behind beautiful wife, Mrs Lily Akosua Kyeremateng and four children namely Nana Kofi Frimpong Kyeremateng, Williams Amakye Kyeremateng, Nana Kwesi Oppong

EDUCATION
Kweku Kyeremateng started his primary education at Agogo Presby experimental School and later continued at Boso Presbyterian Primary School. After his primary education, he proceeded to Boso secondary Technical for the secondary education he later left Boso Secondary Technical to Nifa Secondary School to still continue with his secondary education to complete his GCE Ordinary Level Certificate in 1992. He later preceded to Oda Secondary School to continue with his sixth form to obtain his Advanced Level Certificate in 1994

Eric liked to learn and upgrade himself which earned him the name bayie for his intelligence. In his quest to upgrade himself he went back to school in 2007 to pursue a program in BSC Management at the Central University College and completed in 2010.

Not only did he avail himself to formal education but also educational training at the work place such practice of supervision, ASTP123/supervisors training course and others

Eric was full of life and had a personal desire to achieve educational excellence
He finally went back to school to pursue a second degree in hospitality and management and graduated with a MSC. Tourism& Hospitality management in may 2019

Working Life

As a loyal and patriotic Ghanaian, he imparted knowledge during his national service between 1994 to 1995 when he did his national service at
Akim Ntronang Presby Primary School. He worked as a storekeeper at Paa Basdu Construction ltd. From 1995 to 1996. And later move to Ghana Civil Aviation Authority in 1997 to 2007

He finally worked with Ghana Airports Company Limited in 2007 until his death. Eric was hand working and had a good work ethics punctuality and dedication was his hallmark. He had a personal desire to serve humanity which earned him the Senior Staff Chairman AVSEC.

Later part of his life

Eric left an impact on every person he met, even strangers, (who didn’t stay strangers very long because he was just so friendly) . The love Eric spread on this Earth continues to grow and will live on, and that is the ultimate measure of any human being.

On that fateful day, May 22, 2020, which happened to be the birthday of His wife lily, Eric had wanted to spend the whole day home but had to go to his workplace for a special assignment. He told his family he was going to come home early.

Even when he went to work, he spoke to all his children and his wife to ask them if they wanted to pound fufu. Around 4 pm he called and told them he had closed from work and was coming home. His family was patiently waiting for him until they were called to be informed of his unfortunate and sudden demised.

Let us always remember, it is not the number of years we live in this world that is important; it is how we live those years that is important; how many people we reach out to and touch; how many people we can bring to God and to the service of our nation.

The quality of life is much more important than the quantity of life; and when it comes to the quality of life, we can all say: “Eric lived a full life and, literally, touched thousands of people.” His funeral is a testament to the number of people he reached and touched.
