Enterprise Group is almost through with plans to expand the Life Insurance business into the Nigerian Market.
This move when successful will see the Group open an operating office in the West African country.
Group Chief Executive of Enterprise Group, Keli Gadgekpo said this when the company took it turn at the ‘fact behind the figures series’ at the Ghana Stock Exchange in Accra.
The Enterprise Group apart from its operations Ghana also operate in the Gambia with a minority shareholding from the Gambia Trust Bank.
According to the company, it is hoping to enter the Nigerian market with the Life Insurance policy for a start.
The idea behind the move is to serve its insurance products and other services to the other African countries.
Mr Gaadgekpo said, “Very soon we will finish the transaction and let the public know about it. What I can say is that you should be watching this space.
The Group is expecting a strong entry with the Life insurance business then the rest will follow later."
He said the Group is ready to meet any minimum capital requirement to be set by the National Insurance Commission.
The Group in its 2017 financial results recorded a total net income of GH₵543 million and total assets worth GH₵1billion.
