English Premier League club Stoke City have slapped in a new bid to sign Ghana international winger Haminu Dramani.
But they face stiff opposition from rivals Blackburn Rovers for the signature of the Russia-based star.
The 23-year-old was on the verge of joining Stoke in January but the move collapsed when his club Lokomotiv Moscow developed cold feet.
Dramani fell out with the Moscow club for refusing to release him to join the English club and was subsequently loaned to Russian club Kuban Krasnodar.
Dramani has been a hit for Kuban so far this season and he is not keen on returning to his parent club.
This has revived interest from Stoke as he would be available for about £2.5million.
The versatile Dramani, who can also play anywhere down the left and up front, has enough caps to automatically qualify for a UK work permit.
After making his international debut as a 19-year-old Dramani was part of Ghana's 2006 World Cup and the 2008 Africa Cup Nations squad.
