The Ghana Employers Association wants the Labour Commission to be given more powers to bring some sanity on the labour front.
The association also wants the commission’s rulings to be binding and upheld by business owners for the benefit of the employer and employee.
The President of the Association, Charles Cofie made the call at the association's Annual General Meeting.
According to the president the commission is one of the best institutions that could help address most of the challenges on the industrial front for the growth of enterprise.
Employment Minister, Enoch Tei Mensah asked the association to explore ways to engage commercial banks to reduce their rates to help businesses thrive.
