Parliamentary Candidate for Tano North Constituency and Spokesperson for the Vice President, Dr. Gideon Boako, has taken a strong stance against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, during his campaign in the constituency ahead of the December 7 elections.
Referring to the former president as “Papa No,” Dr. Boako boldly predicted a loss for the NDC, telling an enthusiastic crowd, “Mahama has no new ideas. That’s why he resorts to baseless attacks on chiefs, religious leaders, and anyone who doesn’t buy into his narrative.”
He further painted a metaphorical picture of Mahama's leadership style, saying, “He’s like a man who can’t manage his own affairs but blames his headgear for his problems,” adding that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has implemented strategies to block Mahama’s return to power.
“We won’t allow him to return. The NPP has laid down strategies to ensure we maintain our lead,” Boako declared, expressing confidence in the NPP’s dominance.
In conversations with randomly interviewed constituents, there was a strong sense of loyalty to the current parliamentary candidate.
The overwhelming majority expressed their intent to vote for him again, citing his beneficial initiatives that have significantly impacted the constituency and the larger community.
