President Akufo-Addo is optimistic about a prosperous 2024 as Ghana welcomes the new year.
He assures a peaceful election, expressing confidence in Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain power.
“It’s going to be a good and peaceful year. We will have a clean election to elect our new president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
President Akufo-Addo spoke to Citi TV on Sunday, 31st December 2023, at the Ridge Church after the Watch Night Service.
Despite economic challenges in 2023, the latter part of the year witnessed a rebound, marked by a significant reduction in inflation.
Ghanaians will head to the polls on December 7, 2024, to choose a new president.
Beyond the dominant New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress, other political parties and independent candidates are gearing up for the race, bringing diversity to the upcoming elections.
