The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, has resigned from his position three years after he was appointed by President Akufo-Addo.
According to him, reactions received from his report on the Agyapa Royalties deal has been one of many reasons for his resignation.
Also, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has held a vigil in remembrance of its founder late founder, former President Jerry John Rawlings.
The event which took place at Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra was attended by some family and party members of the late President.
Two of Mr Rawlings' children graced the event - Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings and Kimathi Rawlings.
The NDC’s flagbearer John Mahama and his running mate Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, other party executives and some members of the Diplomatic Corps were also present.
The death of the former Head of State has affected political activities in the country as the parties have suspended their campaigns.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has declared 7 days of national mourning which ends on Friday, November 20.
