Three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a social activist in Ejura Sekyedumase in the Ashanti Region, have been arraigned before the Asokwa District Court in Kumasi.
Issakar Ibrahim, also known as Anyas, Fuseini Alhassan and Iddi Mohammed are expected to answer charges on the murder of Ibrahim Mohammed, aka Kaaka Macho, who died after some unknown assailants assaulted him in Ejura in on Saturday, June 26.
He died from head injuries after being admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Kaaka's death angered the youth of Ejura who went on a protest in that farming community on Tuesday, June 29.
A combined police-military team deployed to maintain peace and order allegedly shot two more people dead, with four others sustaining gunshot wounds.
The government has since appointed a 3-man Committee of Inquiry to probe the deaths and disturbances in Ejura.
