Ghanaian songstress, Efe Keyz has been confirmed as one of the guest speakers at the 2019 Accra International Book Festival.
The “juju” hitmaker will lead an insightful discussion themed, “My song, my act and my dance,” focusing largely on her stellar career as a musician.
The songwriter and model has succeeded in sustaining the expectations of her growing fans since she appeared on the music scene.
In a statement Monday, the Book Festival noted, “someone of her calibre and quality continues to impact lives positively in and outside Ghana with her great and well-scripted songs.”
Efe Keyz joins the list of first-class writers, including retired Ghanaian surgeon and poet, Lade Wosornu, Ghanaian novelists Bisi Adjapon, and Nigerian novelist Yusuf Ahmad Bello, among others.
The 2019 Accra International Book Festival opens on Thursday, October 24, with the Kwame Nkrumah Writers’ Workshop.
This year’s Book Festival starts from October 24 – 27, 2019, under the theme, “Dream, a talk with the Afro-world.”
The event would be held at the University of Ghana, Legon.
With this year marking the 400th-Anniversary of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, the Book Festival has hinted its activities have been designed to mark the moment.
