The Coalition on the Right to Information, Ghana, has asked to meet the Editors Forum Ghana (EFG) at the latter’s next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, 2009 for a discussion on Ghana’s Right to Information Bill.
The meeting will be held at the Sunlodge Hotel at Tesano in Accra. The time is 7:00pm and will be addressed by Ghana Journalists Association President, Mr. Ransford Tetteh, legal practitioner Mr Sam Okudzeto, Mr. George Sarpong of the National Media Commission, legal practitioner Mr. Akoto Ampaw, media and communications instructor and practitioner Dr Audrey Gadzekpo and human rights advocate Nana Oye Lithur.
A statement signed by the Assistant Secretary of the EFG, Emmanuel K. Dogbevi urged members to keep the date a prime event since the meeting will discuss very pertinent issues.
Directions to Venue: From the Kwame Nkrumah Circle headed towards Achimota, Sunlodge is between the Ghana Telecom University College and the Tesano Baptist Church. Make a u-turn at the Tesano Police Station and after the Baptist Church, turn right just before the SHELL filling station.
