Ghanaian musician, Denning Edem Hoto who performs under the stage name Edem, has been unveiled to join a host of other distinguished personalities with Voltarian origin to serve as a brand ambassador for the Volta Trade and Investment Fair.
He joins the likes of Citi FM and Citi TV's Bernard Avle, Emefa Apawu and Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye of Multimedia Group, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s Kafui Dey, Technical Advisor for Diaspora Engagement at GIZ Ghana, Seyram Amakpa-Azasu, and the Social Media Manager of Beyond the Return Secretariat, Ivy Prosper.
Edem expressed excitement for the honour done to him and promised to use his brand and influence to generate enthusiasm and interest in the fair.
He therefore invited both global audiences and his devoted fans to patronise the fair, scheduled from November 26 to December 10, 2023 at the Ho Sports Stadium.
He stated that patrons would have the privilege to experience the charm of the Volta Region, its hospitality, and its unique offerings, both in culture and commerce.
"Come to Volta Fair 2023, Visit Volta, Experience Volta, Taste Volta”, he said.
The Volta and Oti Regional Chairman of the Association of Ghana Industries, Dela Gadzanku commended Edem's exceptional bond with his home region.
He emphasised that he was particularly chosen as a brand ambassador for the fair due to his unwavering love and commitment to the Volta Region, which made him an invaluable asset.
“Over the years, Edem has tirelessly worked to promote the Volta Region, earning himself a special place in the hearts of the local community.
With his deep commitment to the region, he said he has undertaken numerous initiatives that have furthered the region's interests and development”, he said.
Mr. Gadzanku encouraged Edem to leverage his international reach to promote the region and attract investments to unlock its vast untapped potential.
The Volta Trade and Investment Fair, organized by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) in collaboration with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) and the Ghana Tourism Authority, is a biennial event dedicated to promoting businesses across Ghana and the broader African continent.
The fair, aside from serving as a platform for the exhibition of products and services, would feature seminars, and entertainment events. Women Summit, Youth Summit, Sports Development Summit, and a Workshop on Horticulture and Horticulture Export would feature prominently.
The Volta Regional Farmers Day would be held at the fairgrounds, to celebrate farmers.
The Kente Festival, Beer Festival, Miss Volta Fair 2023, and a food court are some new additions patrons are eagerly awaiting.
