Stopgap Hearts of Oak coach, Edward Ansah says theyknow what to do to hand Kotoko a third defeat this season.
The Phobians beat their bitterest rivals 1-0 awayin the first round of the FCPPL in Kumasi and handed them a recent one to winthe President’s Cup on July 1.
Both sides have had an indifferent campaign thisseason as they keep swapping positions at the bottom half of the log with theirunimpressive performances. Kotoko who are current league holders are 11thon the log after 24 matches while the Phobians languish in the relegation zonethree points less their rivals.
But coach Eddie Ansah, a former goalkeeper, knowssuch clashes just too well. He previously featured for the porcupine warriorsin his hay days where history tells of his failure to win games against Heartsafter initial stints with the Phobians.
He also picked three goals from his netwhen he featured for Hearts against Kotoko at the Accra Stadium in1980.
He says: “Sunday's game is a rivalry game.Hearts-Kotoko games are always tough matches. Form does not guide anyone but we believe we have the trump card over Kotoko. We have a whole week to prepare forthe game.”
Sunday’s match day 25 clash is the 97th league encounter between Hearts and Kotoko. Hearts have won 33 times as against Kotoko's 31 wins. 32 drawn games have been recorded.
