The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has concluded plans to hold this year’s edition of its Private Sector Award in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire next month.
The Director of Field Services, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Chief Joseph Ifejika said the ECOWAS Private Sector Award (EPSA) is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and initiative, particularly through Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
“The award seeks to strengthen and celebrate private enterprise and innovation to grow the population of entrepreneurs and enhance the capacity of the private sector to support the other sectors and fulfill its role as the engine of growth,” he said.
The programme covers all potential and existing business operators and operations including primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
