Ecobank Ghana has successfully organised a nationwide Agent Forum for its Agents, known as Ecobank Agents.
The forums held from January 22 to February 19, 2025, across key locations in Ghana, served as platforms for the Agents to engage, exchange best practices, and discuss industry trends, all aimed at enhancing service delivery and promoting financial inclusion.
The Ecobank Agent Forum is part of the bank’s continuous efforts to empower its Agents by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to deliver seamless banking experiences to customers.
The Ecobank Agency Banking model enables customers to perform basic banking transactions through accredited Agents at retail outlets, significantly expanding financial services to underserved communities.
For each forum, participants had the opportunity to join insightful panel discussions and interactive workshops that covered critical topics such as anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), emerging market trends, and strategies for enhancing personalized client relationships.
These sessions provided Agents with practical solutions to navigate regulatory processes and leverage digital transformation for business growth.
The forums also provided a vibrant networking platform, allowing Agents to connect with industry experts, peers, and other key stakeholders.
Through these engagements, Agents gained valuable insights and explored business growth and expansion opportunities.
Speaking at the main forum, held in Accra, Tara Squire, Head of Consumer Banking, Ecobank Ghana, commended the Agents for their pivotal roles in extending the bank’s services to communities with limited banking access.
He encouraged participants to adopt innovative practices and take advantage of Ecobank’s ongoing digitalisation efforts to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Select Agents were honoured at the Ecobank Agent Excellence Awards, which celebrated high-performing Agents for their exceptional service delivery, leadership, and innovation.
As part of its long-term commitment to financial inclusion, Ecobank reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Agents through continuous training, capacity-building initiatives, and future networking
