The Echoes from Faraday project has held a mental game retreat for Ghanaian female footballers ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
The retreat had online and physical sessions to get the players ready and prepare them for the challenge ahead.
The eight-day event had resource persons from different fields of life speaking to the players and taking them through their paces at the end of the 2023/24 season as they looked ahead to the new season.
Some of the topics treated included personal branding, leadership and communication skills, and a workshop on stress management, anxiety, and self-care among a host of others.
The mental game retreat was supported by the Choose Life Ghana Foundation, a non-governmental organization mainly focused on addressing mental health issues among young people in Ghana.
Echoes From Faraday is a community for women footballers under the organization.
The Echoes of Faraday project is an artistic community to support the mental health of African women footballers.
The project's first EP, dubbed Bayor, was released earlier in May.
The EP revolves around themes like mental health, resilience, struggles and addresses the challenges African women footballers face.
The project was launched in May 2024.
