The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana will resume replacing lost voter ID cards nationwide on August 8, 2019.
According to a press release signed by the Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Jean Mensa, the replacement of the cards were suspended to enable the Commission to concentrate on the 2019 Limited Voters Registration Exercise.
The replacement would be done at all the district offices of the EC across the country at a cost of GHS 5.
"To replace a Lost Voter ID Card, an applicant would be required to pay a replacement fee of Five Ghana Cedis (GHc5.00). Fees are to be paid into the Commission's Bank Account and the payslip submitted to the District office where the Initial registration took place," the release said.
"Fees may be paid at any branch of the GCB Bank nationwide".
