Afrobeats singer, Kelvyn Boy, has described the late Ebony Reigns as a legend whose legacy will forever be remembered, despite her early demise.
He says the late dancehall artiste contributed significantly to the growth and dynamism of the entertainment industry, although her music life was short-lived.
In an interview on ShowbizNow on the Joy Prime channel, Tuesday, Kelvyn Boy stated that “it was too early for her to leave us but all the same we’re still here and we give thanks to God.”
“She’s a legend actually. She created a path and she will always be remembered for that – that ‘bad girl’ thing that you know. Even the name is like a path on its own.”

“Honestly, it’s very sad, especially for someone like that. She started a path that a lot of young acts were following. You can point to a lot of acts that one can boldly say the style is an Ebony style,” he told KMJ.
Today marks exactly four years since Ebony, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, passed on.
News of her death was received with shock and has since been topical till date. She is talked about for what she achieved in a short time in the music circles.
Her former manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang, known in showbiz as Bullet, has taken to social media to remember the singer.
“You will always be in my heart because in there you are still alive. Forever reign,” Bullet wrote.
Meanwhile, father of Ebony Reigns, Starboy Kwarteng, says he still communicates with his dead daughter, four years after the award-winning singer’s death.
Mr. Kwateng believes that there is a mystery behind the sudden demise of his daughter.
In an interview with KMJ on Daybreak Hitz, Starboy Kwarteng said, he had a very strong bond with his daughter and that transcended after her death.
According to him, they communicate spiritually. He also said that he has seen her in his dreams twice.
“Nana Hemaa Ebony and I were so close, we had a bond and that gives me the opportunity to speak to her. I am a spiritualist. I have seen her in my dreams twice and she spoke to me. She questioned me on why I have folded my arms to watch what is going on. It’s a shame. Nana Hemaa wishes for us to find out how she died.
Her death
The popular dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns, died in a gruesome road accident that occurred on the Sunyani-Kumasi road in 2018.
