The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has rescheduled the draw for the Ghana 2008 African Cup of Nation to October 19.
The new date comes 24 hours earlier than the original date, which was approved by the continent’s soccer controlling body.
Information gathered from CAF headquarters in Cairo by the GNA Sports has it that the Executive Committee and the Planning Committee for the 26th edition of the African Cup of Nations has approved the new date.
No official reason has been assigned for the change but it said to be in the interest of the competition.
The 26th edition of the continent’s showpiece is scheduled for January 20 – February 10.
