In recent times, the world has been paying increasing attention to the incredible talents and creative abilities of Africans and Ghanaians in particular.
This is due to the remarkable work being done by people like Nana Mitch and Schardo Mitch, two innovative minds who are passionately driving the creative scene in Ghana and across the continent.
Nana and Schardo’s most recent work, a magical and vibrant video created to mark Ghana’s independence, captures the essence of what it means to be Ghanaian. The video features a stunning beach view with a bustling market at the shore, showcasing the vibrancy and energy of Ghana’s people and culture.
The idea for this captivating content came to them when they stumbled upon a mesmerizing video on social media of a girl walking through a beach market. They knew right away that they had to create something similar to showcase the vibrant energy and spirit of Ghana’s people and culture.
They enlisted the help of their team’s assistant, who suggested the perfect location for the shoot - Jamestown Shatta Beach, also known as the Ship House. The team called in Qlimax Photography and Jay Apps to bring their vision to life, ensuring that every detail was perfect.
To look the part, Nana and Schardo Mitch brought in Rubeadz GH, a talented stylist who dressed them in beautiful Ghanaian Kente fabric. In the video, Nana and Schardo are dressed in Kente, adorned with gold ornaments and a crown. The Kente fabric, with its intricate patterns and vibrant colors, represents the rich cultural heritage of Ghana, while the gold ornaments symbolize the country’s abundance of natural resources. The crown, in turn, serves as a powerful reminder of Ghana's regal history and the inherent dignity and worth of its people.
The resulting footage is nothing short of magical. From the bustling beach market to the gorgeous Kente fabrics, everything about this video captures the essence of Ghana and its rich cultural heritage. It is a celebration of the country’s past, present and future, a reminder of its strength and resilience, also a call to action for all Ghanaians to take pride in their heritage and work towards a brighter future.
Through their creative work, Nana Mitch and Schardo Mitch are helping to reshape the way that the world views Ghana and Africa as a whole. They are challenging stereotypes and showcasing the incredible beauty and diversity of African culture, while also highlighting the many challenges that the continent still faces. Their video is a testament to the power of art to inspire and transform.
It invites viewers to look beyond the headlines and the stereotypes, and to see Africa for what it truly is: a continent of immense talent, creativity and potential. Moreover, their work is inspiring a new generation of young people in Ghana and across the continent to pursue their creative dreams. By showcasing the incredible possibilities of art and creative expression, Nana and Schardo are helping to build a brighter future for all Africans.
As Ghana celebrates its 66th Independence Day, this video is a stirring reminder of the country’s beauty and the richness of its cultural heritage. It is a tribute to the strength and resilience of its people, a celebration of its past and an optimistic look toward a bright future for all Ghanaians.
