The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has called on the party’s supporters to move to their respective constituency collation centres ahead of the final declaration of the election results.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, December 7, Mr Gyamfi emphasized that the election process involves several stages, and it is crucial for party agents and supporters to accompany the Electoral Commission (EC) to the various collation centres.
“If you were at the polling station at the time of declaration, I’m sure you are by now following the ballot box and other electoral materials to the EC collation centre in your constituency. If you were not at the polling station and you are hearing this message wherever you are in your constituency, this is the time for you to play your role,” he urged.

Mr Gyamfi stressed that it is the responsibility of the party's supporters to protect their votes. He cautioned them to remain vigilant and refrain from celebrating prematurely until the results are officially collated and signed by the EC's returning officer, with certified copies provided to polling agents.
He also advised NDC sympathizers to take photos of the posted results at the collation centres in their constituencies.
“Please when the result is duly declared, and we take a copy of the results form as required by law, ensure that the result as declared is posted at the constituency collation centre, you take your phone, you take a picture as evidence, it is very important that all do that,” he emphasized.
The NDC official also criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), calling them “desperate” and “vicious”, and urged the party’s supporters to stay vigilant until the last vote is counted and the final results are declared by the EC.
Mr Gyamfi accused the NPP of attempting to rig the election, alleging, “We have picked intel that the NPP has now activated their rigging machine to its full potential. In the next couple of minutes, in fact, they have already started. They will be trying to snatch ballot boxes and swap ballot boxes, they will be trying to swap pink sheets, they will be trying to use their tabs to manipulate the outcome of the election results.”
He urged NDC supporters to remain calm but vigilant until the final results are officially declared by the EC.
