‘Humble Lion’ Bernard Don Bortey proved a handful for visiting Tema Real Sportive, planting the ball twice in a first half two-minute blitz in their outstanding premier league game at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
Hearts won the day 3:2 after substitute Edward Adjaglo added Hearts’ third in the second half before the game’s Most Valuable Player Yakubu Mohammed also scored twice.
The 16th Week league game was originally scheduled for Sunday, however it was rained off along with other games after torrential rains soaked the Greater Accra Region.
At nearby Dansoman, homesters Liberty Professionals scored twice against visiting Sekondi Hasaacas with Kofi Nti Boakye opening the scores in the opening minutes before Desmond Asamoah added to the tally.
At Tema, bottom clubs Tema Youth and Great Olympics fought to a pulsating one all, with Suleiman Faisal opening the scores for Tema Youth. Frank Lamptey fetched Oly’s equaliser.
Later this evening, (7pm) Kumasi King Faisal will be home to Gamba All Blacks at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Real Tamale United will clear the last of the outstanding games against Asante Kotoko on May 1 at the Tamale Stadium.
