“I want to dedicate this award to my wife Edith Adams who supported me and at times gave me TNT to match venues to commission matches”.
Those were the words of Suhum based match commissioner Samuel Aboagye who was adjudged as the best match commissioner in the 2014/15 GN Bank Division One league.
The GN Bank Division One League awards night was held last Saturday at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra.
The novelty awards night saw some players and officials receive awards for their impressive display in the year under review.
But the highlight of the event was when match commissioner Samuel Aboagye went on stage to receive his award as the best match commissioner for last season’s league.
Unlike many men, Samuel Aboagye wasn’t shy to reveal to the whole world how at times his wife sorts his transportation to match venues when he is pressed financially.
"We faced a lot of challenges and at times when am called to go and commission matches and I don’t have money on me, my wife gives me money to go,” he told Joy Sports.
