The Chief and people of the Dodome traditional area in the Ho West District of the Volta Region on November 9, climaxed this year’s Agadzi Festival with a grand celebration.
Chiefs and Queens from all the communities in the area, as well as traditional leaders from other parts of the region, attended the ceremony, dressed in their traditional regalia.
The week-long celebration came to a close on Sunday, November 10, with a Thanksgiving church service.
The festival was also used to raise funds for the construction of a traditional council edifice.
In his speech at the grand durbar, the Paramount Chief of the area, Togbega Kpangbatriku IV, stated that once the construction of the building was completed, he would prioritise the establishment of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the area.
