The District Capacity Building Project initiated for district assemblies in the Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions, will be completed at the end of July this year after six-and-a half-years of work.
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) sponsored project, ensured capacity building for staff of the district assemblies to enable them acquire skills and knowledge to facilitate the operations of the assemblies.
Dr. Chris Brown, leader of the Canadian team in charge of the Project, announced at a forum to assess the water supply systems in Jirapa and Tumu at Wa.
Mr Martin Dery, the Director of PRONET, commended DISCAP for its efforts at improving water supply in the area.
Ms. Rosaline Da-uri, project assistant of PRONET, said the people complained about unfair water distribution and failure to respond to complaints by clients.
