The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has called on Ghanaians, especially Christians to develop a positive attitude towards one another and appreciate God for His goodness towards the nation.
According to Apostle Nyamekye, it takes people with positive attitudes and mindsets to appreciate the blessings of God and the efforts others make in their lives.
He indicated that although 2022 was a tough year saddled with several challenges, God has kept them through to another fresh year.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye was speaking at the 2023 Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference of The Church of Pentecost underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The conference, which is under the theme: “Repositioning the Church for Maximum Impact in the Nations” – Colossians 2:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20, started on Monday, January 23, and will end on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
Addressing the about 4,000 participants and others joining through zoom across the globe, the Chairman noted that Christians have a divine responsibility to always give thanks to God.
“As children of God, there is always the righteous requirement to give thanks to God because that is the will of God concerning us,” he said.
Quoting from Colossians 2:6-7; Genesis 29:32, the Chairman charged believers not to allow life worries and challenges to hinder their praise and thanksgiving to God.
“Try and detoxify yourselves of any worries so that you have the heart to praise God,” he advised.
Speaking at the same conference, the General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, noted that The Church of Pentecost (The CoP) is a respected brand and, therefore, charged members of the Church to uphold and jealously guard the Church's core values and rules of conduct to help safeguard the goodwill of the Church.

Treating the topic, “The CoP Brand – Rules of Conduct and Core Values of the Church,” Apostle Kumi-Larbi explained that churches and denominations are known by key distinctive attributes and core values.
“Like every other church, The Church of Pentecost has its own culture. Our foundational beliefs are at the heart of our theology. Over the years, The CoP has built a Christ-centred brand with our core values, culture and rules of conduct handed to us as a legacy from our forebears,” he said.
He noted that the distinctive character of The CoP was steadfastly created by the forebears through selfless service, sound biblical teaching, good leadership and succession, evangelism and discipleship, sacrificial giving, and fellowship and discipline.
“It thus behoves this generation to know, uphold and jealously guard these time-tested Pentecostal distinctive attributes as we seek to reposition the local church for maximum impact,” he stated.
On his part, a Urologist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and lawyer, Elder Dr Ken Aboah, who spoke on various approaches to evangelism, called on Christians to prioritise evangelism since that is their core mandate.

Dr Aboah, who is a Trustee of the Church, posited that when Christians preached the gospel backed by the power of the Holy Spirit and prayers, no one can thwart the plans of God in saving lost souls.
“The only good news in the world today is that Jesus died to save sinners, and this must be preached daily,” he said, adding, Don’t let one day pass by without sharing the gospel,” he reiterated.
