Israeli-based midfielder, Derek Boateng, has pledged his continued support to the wards of the Osu Children’s home towards the realization of their goals in life.
“I thank the almighty God for his guidance towards the kids. I promise to do more to help the lives of these kids,” the Beitar Jerusalem midfielder assured during a donation he made to the school on Monday.
The midfielder donated foodstuffs and assorted beverages valued at 1,000 Ghana Cedis plus cash of 600 Ghana Cedis to the school.
The items which included rice, sugar, milk, biscuit and loaves of bread are meant to enhance the upkeep of the children in the orphanage.
Ms. Sharon Abbey, Manageress of the School commended Boateng for the gesture and appealed to the footballer to consider adopting at least one of the units of the school each with a population of about 200.
This is the third time that Boateng has supported the school in its upkeep.
