FC Astana striker Patrick Twumasi has set sights on helping Ghana qualify for an eighth straight AFCON place after he was called up into the national team for the first time.
Twumasi, who could make his debut when Ghana play Mauritius, was delighted with his first call up citing hard work as the main reason behind it.
“I thank God for this opportunity, it is a great feeling and I feel very good,” Twumasi said.
“I was happy when I got the call up. I have been motivated by myself and by my family and fans. They keep supporting in prayers.”
“I try to do my best, work hard and help the team.”
The striker who has already trained with the team is only focused on helping Ghana qualify for Gabon
“It doesn’t matter about my position in the team, I just try to do my best to help the team.”
“The most important things is to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nation. That is the most beautiful thing I can say.”
Kadri Mohammed and Thomas Partey are the other two debutantes called by Avram Grant.
