Former national Under-20 central defender Daniel Addo is on the lookout for a new club after leaving King Faisal following the expiration of his contract.
Addo, a regular member of the Ghana side that won the Under-20 World Cup, is now a free agent after turning down a contract extension offer. And even though he insists he is leaving the club without any qualms, there appears to be no love lost between himself and Faisal.
Addo insist the club should have made him a good offer when his contract was due to be up, but says he leaves with no grudges.
“I am a free agent, so if a club wants my services I am available. My contract at King Faisal is up. I don’t have a problem with the owners of the club, with the players or the executives. I just want to move on.”
Club founder Alhaji Grunsah says: “Daniel Addo is not my player now, he is my former player. Even Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United, so it’s not a big deal if Daniel Addo left King Faisal.”
Addo formed a formidable central defensive partnership with Jonathan Mensah at the World Youth Championship in Argentina and there are bound to be a lot of clubs keen to take him.
