The Central Committee of the Convention people's Party has resolved to reconcile the regular members of the party to pave way for all members to come on board to pursue the re-organisation programme.
In this regard CPP has granted an unconditional pardon and forgiveness to all members to come on board to pursue the re-organisation programme. In this regard, CPP has granted an unconditional pardon and forgiveness to all members who at one time or the other were in breach of party discipline or allegations of acts of indiscipline made against them.
This was contained in a statement signed by the party"s General Secretary Dr. Nii Noi Dowuona, in Accra. The party called on members who are operating outside the formal structures and those who have left the party and other leading members who have taken the back stage to rejoin the CPP fold to present a common, formidable identity.
The Central Committee has therefore directed the leadership of the party to organise an all-embracing family forum as soon as possible to discuss matters of interest to rejuvenate the CPP.
The forum will provide a platform to discuss the party’s programme of activities towards the 50th Anniversary celebration of Ghana’s Independence for which the party has the distinctive record of championing the political struggle and eventual attainment of national sovereignty under the leadership of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
