Although the country's Covid-19 active cases is relatively high, there has been a consistent decline, statistics from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) indicates.
In its latest update, the GHS communicated that a total of 2,891 active cases were recorded as of October 1.
Prior to this, the figures recorded stood at the 3000s and 4000s.
Currently, 118 of these active cases recorded in all 16 regions are said to be severe and 45 others critical.
For new Covid-19 cases, the figures stand at 133. These additional cases bring the total confirmed cases to 128,159.
Meanwhile, about 124,111 individuals who fell prey to the virus have recovered and have therefore been discharged.
In its update, the Ghana Health Service did not record any casualties. The country's death toll remains 1,157.
