The Cote d'Ivoire branch of the New Patriotic Party, has sent a congratulatory message to party delegates for showing a high sense of maturity, tact and diplomacy before, during and after the historic congress resulting in the choice of a Presidential candidate for Election 2008.
A statement signed by the branch Chairman, Prince Nana Akwasi Boakye, congratulates Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for emerging victorious among the seventeen able, competent and experienced aspirants.
"We equally commend Mr. Alan Kyerematen for showing exemplary selflessness for the sake of unity and continuity of the party by graciously conceding defeat without hesitation.
"We hereby advise that, since the congress is over, all forms of negative or derogatory statements must cease immediately.
"We take this opportunity to call all members to close their ranks and organize now, more than ever before, for organization decides everything. The battle is now not within but outside the confines of the party
"We have all it takes to win so long as we remain united and focused behind our chosen leader, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo," it said.
