Our attention has been drawn to a misquotation of seasoned journalist and Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako Jnr., in a news story on comments he passed about Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy’s book “Chasing The Elephant Into The Bush - The Politics Of Complacency.”
Kweku Baako was on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo programme on December 2, 2009, with discussions thereof forming the basis of a story we posted on Myjoyonline the same day, quoting Mr. Baako as saying that Arthur Kennedy's book was immature, among others.
What Mr. Baako actually said was that the book was premature. The misquotation has been part of grounds for Dr. Arthur Kennedy’s subsequent rejoinder and comments and we express our profound regret to Mr. Kweku Baako. We also apologise to Dr. Arthur Kennedy for any embarrassment the use of the word may have caused him.
The error is indeed regretted.
Editor.
