The Daily Show, an American late-night talk and news satire television program, will from Monday, produce their show without the usual live studio audience.
This decision comes after the novel Coronavirus’ rapid spread across the world. The World Health Organisation, on March 11, labelled the virus a global pandemic.
The host of the show, Trevor Noah, on Thursday, decided to say goodbye to his last studio audience with a song.
“It’s going to be tough without an audience, you guys are the heart and soul of the show,” he stated.
In his serenade, Trevor mentioned some of the things the studio audience did that made the show fan and why he will miss them.
To help minimise the spread numerous talk shows in the US including Ellen, The View, Good Morning America and many others decided to shoot without the live studio audience.
The Wendy Williams show days after cancelling the use of live studio audience decided to halt the show altogether.
