Coronation Insurance Ghana Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dr. Yaw Adom-Boateng as its new Managing Director effective April 1, 2023. Dr. Adom-Boateng takes over from Mr. Adedayo Arowojolu, who served as the MD/CEO of the company since 2015.
Dr. Adom-Boateng is an accomplished professional with over twenty-two years of experience in the insurance industry.
He is a Chartered Insurer and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK in 2007.
He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (FCIIG) and holds a Master of Business Administration certificate from the University of Western Sydney, Australia, Master of Applied Business Research, and Doctorate in Business Leadership from the Swiss Business School, Switzerland.
He further holds a Post-Merger Integration Specialist certificate from the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions & Alliances, Austria and a certificate in Strategy Execution from Harvard Business School Online.
Dr. Adom-Boateng's expertise spans across the areas of Corporate growth strategy, Workgroups & Branch Operations Management, Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Risk Management, bancassurance, e-insurance and company financial strength rating (GCR). He has mentored several millennial insurance professionals to successfully complete CII qualifications.
He is also a visiting lecturer for Motor Insurance at the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Banjul, The Gambia.
He won the Ghana 40 Under 40 Awards – Insurance category in 2018, and the Insurance Professional of the Year awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) in 2019.
His extensive expertise in the insurance industry as well as his leadership and strategic management skills make him an excellent fit to lead Coronation Insurance Ghana LTD. into its next phase of growth and development.
