CODEO decries incidents in run-off

The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has decried the minor incidents that characterised Sunday’s election run-off. Mr. John Larvie head of CODEO told Joy Fm’s Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Monday, there were harassment and intimidation in some polling stations across the country. He added voting was either delayed or withheld due to late arrival or shortage of voter materials. For the Tain constituency the people were unable to vote he confirmed. Despite the anomalies Mr. Larvie believes the election was generally free and fair. He lauded the security agencies for restoring law order and in areas where there were altercations. The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) deployed approximately 4,000 non-partisan domestic observers across the country on polling day. Story by Nathan Gadugah
