The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) Open Golf Championship comes off at the Cocoa Research Institute Golf Course at Tafo in the Eastern Region on Saturday, July 14.
Dr F.K. Oppong, Captain of the Tafo Golf Club, who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition open to amateur golfers throughout the country, formed part of activities marking the 60th anniversary of the COCOBOD.
He said entry requirement for the competition that is expected to attract over 120 golfers is Handicap 18 for the Men and 24 for Ladies.
Dr Oppong named Douglas Tetteh, Smiley Bannerman, Ayikwei Armah, Essel Kwamina and Major John Nyen as some of the golfers expected for the Tafo side.
Isaac Osei, Chief Executive of COCOBOD will present the anniversary trophy to the winner.
