Accra Brewery Limited, producers of CLUB Lager, Ghana’s number one selling beer have launched their maiden 5-aside football tournament with the winner representing the country at a continental tournament in Tanzania.
The CLUB 5 ON 5 tournament which is part of the African zone’s football activation with eight other countries in the ABInBev Africa family aims to strengthen current friendships whilst starting new ones.
The tournament is only open to only amateur teams of five players which may include an additional JAMA person. It will be executed in 500 selected outlets across Ghana and is open to both female and male team participants.
Elimination matches will be organised in April at the local community levels, through to the regional level and national final until a winning team emerges. The Africa winners will get the opportunity to travel to Europe for an ultimate football experience.
“CLUB has always offered more than just consistent quality but strives to be first in providing experiences that highlight who we are as Ghanaians, united by our shared passions. It is our strong belief that this tournament will add to CLUB’s exceptional legacy as Ghana’s quintessential beer,” Head of marketing at ABL, Ewurafua Addo-Atuah said at the launch.
