Almost 1,000 Ghanaian men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year, and yet many are unaware that they have this form of cancer.
This is according to reliable research data and estimates from the Ghana Health Service.
Prostate Cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer among men around the world.
Researchers say men in Ghana have higher risk of developing this form of cancer especially in their youthful ages and, therefore, they should find it very important to go for screening and treatment if the need arises.
Prostate cancer, researchers say, can spread to other parts of the body and eventually cause death to its victims if not detected and treated early.
Sadly, late diagnose of this type of cancer cannot be treated.
Tune in to Joy 99.7 FM’s Ultimate Health programme, Tuesday, at 2:05pm for more information on the causes, diagnoses, signs and symptoms, and treatment of PROSTRATE CANCER.
