This year’s Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) marketing awards will be held on July 23.
Thirty individuals and business are expected to receive various honors awards at the ceremony themed “Entrepreneurial marketing, a tool for repositioning”.
Speaking to Joy Business at the launch, Chairperson of the Awards Planning Committee, Shola Safo-Duodu said the theme is focused on supporting local entrepreneurs to compete globally.
She stressed that marketing principles applied differently to Small an Medium Scale Entreprises (SMEs) and large corporations.
“For large corporations, they have lots of money, they have lots of resources that they actually put to their advertising or marketing but the small businessman doesn’t have that,” he stated, explaining the awards ceremony was seeking to explore marketing tools available small businesses.
She also highlighted the need to encourage small business to develop and grow.
