Churches asked to move out of classrooms

Apostle John Annah Adotey, National President of the Apostolic Church of Ghana, has asked Churches that hold their services in classrooms stop the practice and build their own chapels. He said Christianity was a revered religion and worshiping should take place at decent places to the glory of God. Apostle Adotey gave the advice at Juaso in the Asante Akim South District of Ashanti on Friday, when he paid a 3-day working visit to the area. As part of the Apostle’s visit, he would lay the foundation stones for the building of Churches and dedicate Church buildings and mission houses at Asankare, Juaso, Konongo and Agogo. Preaching at a service held in his honour, Apostle Adotey urged Christians to remain steadfast in God since He is the only one who could answer prayers. He urged Christians not to expose themselves to the devil by seeking help elsewhere in times of trials, saying prayer was the surest weapon for divine intervention. Apostle Adotey urged Christians to lead exemplary lives to attract non-believers to the Church and said that the influence of Christians should be felt in society. He commended the congregation for building the chapels and asked them to be committed to the Church. Apostle Emanuel Tagba, Area Superintendent of the Church, asked the Church to support the youth. He said the Church had initiated plans to regulate the conduct of the youth. Source: GNA
